My Magnolia

We have this magnificent tree. It's beautiful year round but for one week or so, it's breath taking. It's huge and when it's in bloom, the pink blossoms can be seen over our rooftop.

I got teary yesterday. I pulled into the neighborhood and was mesmerized by the pink canopy. The Belle should see this. She was my favorite Magnolia.

Don't be surprised if I run by today. You know I love that tree & in awe of it's beauty. Especially at this time of the year. Funny you Blogged about it. Yesterday I was admiring my little Magnolia, and I thought about yours & if it was in it's glory this week! I do believe it's my favorite tree!

Now yall know why I love Mississippi, we are The Magnolia State. True magnolias are white or off white. Japanese magnolias are pink. Regardless, magnolias are beautiful. I have even been to a few bars that were named "The Mag" or "Nolia's" but they were far from beautiful or pleasant smelling. Most of the people there had very few teeth and lots of camouflage. My mother never knew I went there, and I know this to be true because I am alive today. She and Belle would not have approved. But!! they always did have the coldest beer. BGS
